ClearCircle Environmental aims to operate each of its facilities throughout Ireland and the UK to the highest environmental standards. The core business incorporates metals recycling, materials recycling, hazardous waste management and speciality plastics. Many of these operations continue to acquire and maintain various licences, environmental permits, exemptions and consents where applicable.
Hegarty Metal Recycling is committed to the protection and enhancement of the environment by:
- Conducting all its operations to comply with all existing environmental legislation. In particular the 13 conditions laid out by the Corporation of Limerick in granting a waste permit WR01-2001.
- Undertaking process and production operations in a manner which will minimise any risk to the environment as far as is practically possible.
- Achieving environmental best practice throughout its business activities, wherever this is practicable.
- Continuous monitoring of surface water and groundwater to ensure no polluting substances enter the environment.
- Seeking to conserve natural resources through the responsible use and storage of materials.
- Continuous improvement in environmental performance with an emphasis on pollution prevention.
- Training and developing employees to conduct their work in a manner which will achieve the company’s policy and objectives.
- Communicating the policy to all interested parties and making it publicly available.
- Continually reviewing the objectives and targets set out in the environmental programme.
This Environmental policy will be achieved through the implementation and maintenance of an
Environmental Management System.
